The New Normal In

At Emerald Iguana Salon, the health and well-being of my guests is always a top priority. I am deeply concerned for everyone who has been impacted by the COVID-19 virus and I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are staying well at this time.

As always, hygiene standards are of the utmost importance to me and I want you to know that I am taking all necessary precautions to help protect you and our communities.

48 hours before your appointment you will RECEIVE A TEXT OR EMAIL giving you details on how to arrive and check-in for your appointment, where to wait etc. In addition, you will receive a link to a DIGITAL WAIVER form that you must fill out in advance of your arrival for your appointment. I will be verifying your waiver at check-in as it will be a requirement to receive a service. 

For you tech savvy people, DOWNLOAD the Pocket Salon app from your App Store. This is a great way for the check-in and out process plus it offers great features for booking appointments straight from the app as well as looking at your service and product history.

When you arrive at the salon location and park, please pull out your Pocket Salon app and go ahead and CHECK-IN VIA YOUR APP. This will alert me that you have arrived.

Please wait in your car and I will text you when you can come into the salon for your service. Due to state requirements of one customer per stylist, we cannot have additional guests in the salon waiting for services.

We will be using the following guidelines:

  • Asking you to sanitize your hands upon check-in.
  • Wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE), and will ask you to wear a mask. NO EXCEPTIONS. I can provide you one if needed. Providing you with a new individually wrapped drape for one-time use.
  • Maintaining the required state board rules and regulations of disinfecting and sanitizing all tools, including wiping down surfaces before and after each service.
  • Asking you to keep your personal belongings to a minimum. No large handbags. Bring in only what you need and can fit on your lap, and no children or additional guests will be allowed at this time. Only guests with appointments will be allowed in.
  • Our stations will be spaced 6 feet apart to maintain social distance between guests.
  • Aveda touch rituals, and beverage services will be temporarily unavailable.
  • Blow-dry services are paused for now to prevent the forceful movement of air and the unwanted spreading of germs.
  • Shampoos will not be performed for haircut services. Please arrive to the salon with clean, dry hair. We will shampoo only to rinse color. Everyone in our shampoo areas will be required to wear a mask.
  • No one with a fever will be allowed to receive a service. Temperature checks will be taken upon check-in at a distance. Anyone with a temperature over 100 degrees will not be allowed in the space.
  • You will be required to complete a Covid-19 service waiver prior to your appointment.
  • We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, or you can process a payment with your card on file using the Pocket Salon app to checkout without touching anything except your phone!
  • Retail sales for Aveda or Davines will be sold CURBSIDE ONLY.  Please call (831) 464-3256 and prepay. Let us know you’re here and we will leave products at the door.
